SILENT AUCTION OPENS MONDAY, NOVEMBER 4TH AT 9:00 P.M. PT

Whether you're joining us in person at the DoubleTree City Center Thursday, November 7th or virtually, you'll be able to bid along on our almost live and silent auction will open EARLY starting Monday, November 4th at 9:00 a.m.

Silent Auction Rules:

The following, as amended by any posted notices or verbal announcements during the auction, constitutes the entire terms and conditions on which items listed in the catalog or otherwise offered at the auction shall be offered for sale or sold at Happiness Hour: Spokane to benefit Make-A-Wish® Alaska and Washington.

  1. All sales are final, and there will be no exchanges, refunds or extensions on items, except where specified.
  2. All items are non-transferable and may not be sold.
  3. Item purchasers are responsible for arranging their own use of items and shall not rely on Make-A-Wish staff to schedule or coordinate the use of purchased items.
  4. Unless otherwise noted, all items and services must be used within one year of November 7, 2024. Please respect all the restrictions set out by the item donors and read all certificates, vouchers and corresponding materials carefully. Out of respect for the donors, please do NOT ask for extensions or modifications to the items.
  5. Reservations for all trips, hotel accommodations, parties and similar events must be mutually arranged with the auction item donor unless otherwise specified. No refunds or exchanges will be allowed. 
  6. All dinners are for the number of guests noted only, and exclude tax, gratuity and alcohol unless otherwise noted.
  7. All accommodations require reservations and are based on availability. 
  8. Airline tickets in travel packages are for coach class unless otherwise noted. No refunds will be allowed for canceled tickets.
  9. All wines are to be sold in Washington State, and the title passes to the purchaser in Washington. Make-A-Wish makes no representation as to the purchaser’s rights to import wine into any state. Wines may be sold and delivered only to persons who are at least 21 years old. 
  10. Please note that, on any celebrity or sports memorabilia item, while Make-A-Wish has done everything in its power to secure a valid certificate of authenticity, Make-A-Wish neither warrants nor represents, and in no event shall be responsible for the authenticity, genuineness or condition of any item. 
  11. Payments will be processed within 48 hours of the event closing, using the credit card information in Greater Giving. If you prefer to pay with cash, check, stock or a Donor Advised Fund, you must contact a Make-A-Wish staff member prior to the auction closing. All bids are in U.S. dollars. Only Fund-A-Wish gifts with no tangible benefit to the donor can be paid for with a Donor-Advised Fund in accordance with IRS regulations. No bifurcation is allowed.
  12. Envelopes containing gift certificates should be checked carefully before leaving the auction.
  13. Make-A-Wish has endeavored to catalog and describe the property correctly, but all property is sold “as is,” and Make-A-Wish neither warrants nor represents and in no way shall be responsible for the correctness of description, authenticity, authorship, provenance or condition of the property. 
  14.  No statements contained in the catalog or made orally at the sale or elsewhere shall be deemed to be such a warranty, representation or assumption of liability.
  15. The values listed are estimates only and are provided by the donors of the auction items. Make-A-Wish reserves the right to withdraw any item prior to the start of the bidding for such item. Make-A-Wish encourages all donors to consult IRS Revenue Ruling 67-246 and their tax consultant or attorney concerning the tax deductibility of gifts to this event. 
  16. Each person bidding assumes all risks and hazards related to the auction and items obtained at the auction. Each bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising directly or indirectly from the auction, Make-A-Wish, its elected and appointed officials, members and employees, the auctioneer(s), the event organizers, sponsors and/or volunteers connected with the auction.
  17. Make-A-Wish assumes no responsibility for any item purchased and either re-sold or re-donated to another event. Items may not be re-sold at public sales
  18. All certificates have no cash value. If lost or stolen, certificates cannot be replaced.
